A booked meeting feels like progress while the deal stalls on an agreement no one closed; track the getting, not the doing.

The 90-second read

A booked next meeting is a seller's metric. It feels like progress while the deal quietly stalls on an agreement no buyer actually reached. Armand Farrokh rebuilt his process around the agreements a buyer must close, not a fixed run of meetings, and average deal size climbed sharply. The same read applies after the sale. A quiet inbox looks like churn and a booked call looks healthy, but the real signal is the agreement not yet reached and the deviation from an account's own normal. Rebuild your stages as agreements, close them in order, and read each account against its own baseline.

Read time: about 5 minutes. First step runnable Monday morning.

The #1 move this week

Open your top ten open deals. For each one, write the last agreement the buyer actually reached, not the last meeting you booked. Then write the next agreement you owe. Most deals will have a meeting on the calendar and no agreement behind it. That gap is the difference between your forecast and your real pipeline. A next step that is a meeting instead of an agreement is not a next step. It is a delay.

Start here: pull your top ten open deals and write the last agreement reached and the next agreement owed for each. You need your CRM and one focused hour.

Ignore this week: adding another meeting to the calendar. A booked call is not the same as a buyer decision.
